Hi, I'm Sandra Owen

My Story.....

I've faced my fair share of challenges in life just like everyone else, but the one thing that has helped me cope in life is creativity, be it music or crafting.

I believe doing what you love is good for the soul, and helps us emotionally, mentally and physically to overcome and thrive after heartache, depression, loneliness and more.

I started drawing and making things out of rubbish as a young child. I didn't realise at the time but it was my way of connecting with my heart, my happy place, after the death of my father when I was just 7 years old.

My personal Self Discovery journey began around 2010. I loved teaching, however my being a visiting peripatetic tutor was no longer fulfilling me in the way that it once did. I had no idea what else to do or felt qualified to do. Imposter syndrome was a huge presence in my life for a long time.

After divorce I felt alone, miserable and had lost all connection with my own dreams. I knew there had to be more to life than what I was living but I simply didn't know how or where to start creating the change I so desperately wanted. I began selling my own crafts and like many creatives I also tried Network Marketing (which I was rubbish at by the way!!!). However, it was through these experiences that the world of Self Development and Quantum Physics opened up to me, and for this I will be forever grateful.

Releasing buried emotional pain and reconnecting with my creative spirit again was crucial for my personal growth. All the puzzle pieces starting to slot into place.

I recognised that seeds had been planted throughout my life and it was now up to me to nurture them into full bloom. I believe we all have gifts to share in our own unique way and our individual, unique life experiences create the foundation on which to build. Reconnecting with our innate creativity can help us find the path back to our heart.

Too often the very things that make us feel joyful and free as children are squashed out of us and our education system does not encourage us to understand how our thoughts and feelings affect us, or embrace whole brain learning.

As Einstein is attributed to have said, "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing it is stupid."

Some of us were born to climb trees, some to swim and some to craft and play music. What a wonderful world we can all create together when we do  and share what we love.

I have a BA (hons) in Music, the CT ABRSM (Certificate of Teaching - Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) and over 30 years teaching experience in private and LEA education. I mentored people from all over the world as a Guide for the Masterkey Experience and I've run creative workshops for adults on their own personal journey. I have taught people from age 7 - 75 and it's wonderful witnessing them progress and develop their creative skills in music and craft. I continue to teach music privately which I love.

If you'd like to have a chat about how you can reconnect with your creative imagination then book a Creative Call with me.

Love Sandra x
