Week 20 Start of Something
You know when you know
Have you experienced that feeling in the pit of your stomach that say’s ‘Go for it’?
For several weeks now I have felt like something was not quite right but I couldn’t figure out what. I have been reassuring myself that everything is as it should be and done my best to stay calm and collected. I have continued with my personal growth through my reading and listening, my sitting and focusing. It is difficult to join all the dots when you can’t see the dots!
‘You may have all the wealth in Christendom, but unless you recognise it and make use of it, it will have no value; so with your spiritual wealth: unless you recognise it and use it, it will have no value. The one and only condition of spiritual power is use or recognition.’ (Haanel 20:2)
Literally as I am typing this, I remember I was actually doing a dot to dot puzzle the morning of the most tragic event in my childhood…the morning my father died. I was 7 years old. Could this be a psychological reason why I so often hesitate and doubt my ability to join the dots? I have never thought of it like that before! That is a genuine revelation as I am creating this blog post!!!
‘Thinking is the true business of life, power is the result. You are at all times dealing with the magical power of thought and consciousness. What results can you expect so long as you remain oblivious to the power which has been placed within your control?’ (Haanel 20:4)
This week, I found myself led to step up, it was time to ‘Go for it’. So I sent an email that I had been resisting for weeks, which led me to investigate some things further, which brought the last ‘dots’ I needed into view. I have no idea how things are going to pan out yet, but I know beyond knowing that I did the right thing, and as I stepped out in faith, the things that I needed to complete the picture came to me.
‘When you begin to perceive that the essence of the Universal is within yourself – is you – you begin to do things; you begin to feel your power; it is the fuel which fires the imagination; which lights the torch of inspiration; which gives vitality to thought; which enables you to connect with all the invisible forces of the Universe. It is this power which will enable you to plan fearlessly, to execute masterfully.’ (Haanel 20:8)
I made a few alterations to the above paragraph and this is what I read:
‘When I begin to perceive that the essence of the Universal is within me – is me – I begin to do things; I begin to feel my power; it is the fuel which fires the imagination; which lights the torch of inspiration; which gives vitality to thought; which enables me to connect with all the invisible forces of the Universe. It is this power which enables me to plan fearlessly, to execute masterfully.’
All I can say in conclusion is
Be a part of something good.
Stop following the crowd. Be who you were born to be.
Start running, your life is waiting.
